Among the rocks are hyrax. Hyrax are very tame because there are so few predators at this altitude - only the occasional leopard perhaps. Because of this they can spend their time basking in the sun. The ones on this mountain have developed thicker fur than lowland hyrax. They eat grass which they must share with furry-eared rats.
