How many eggs? - an ancient mathematical riddle
Marcus du Sautoy presents an ancient mathematical riddle on his problems panel game: Twice as many eggs I'll eat as you, if you will give me two. An equal number we shall get if I receive two eggs from you. 'Twas thus two hungry men conversed. How many eggs had each at first? Two teams work on the problem using simultaneous equations before the solution is presented.
