Linda Pilkington - perfumer
Perfumer Linda Pilkington talks about her life, in order to spark creativity and ambition. Linda explains that, as a child, she would keep her mother’s perfume bottles because she thought they were treasure. These bottles held a magical quality for her. They sparked her imagination and senses, and they've never lost their intrigue. A chance meeting with an old friend who remembered her childhood love for perfume, gave her the opportunity to come up with her very own scent. Since then she has spent time hunting down original smells, and tells us about the ambergris – a much sought after perfume ingredient that’s actually whale vomit!
