Sport scientists help swimming coaches
Science presenter Rani Price meets sport scientists who helped to improve the performance of British Athletes at London 2012. She takes a look at a machine that measures the hydrodynamic drag of different swimmers in different positions. The lead scientist, Alex Forrester, describes how his background in engineering led him into sports science, and how confidence in maths, physics and computer science are important in this field. Rani then meets Jodi Cossor, a biomechanist, who describes her role within the team and her background in biology.
