Dev from Radio 1 embarks on a challenge to make a track using just the apps available on his smartphone and tablet.

He experiments with a whole host of music making apps, from digital audio workstations (DAWs) on his tablet, to MIDI drum pads and keyboards on his phone. He shows how you can feed an instrument into a mobile device, recording his electric guitar and adding digital audio effects to get the sound he wants. After developing a few ideas, Dev looks to tie all the individual elements together and build a track with a unique sound.
