A short animation sequence at the start of this film shows just how much Poland relies on coal as an energy resource. We visit a coal power plant which stands in the middle of a massive opencast coalmine. We hear from a journalist about the damage it does to the environment. A coal miner tells us about his job and about the many people that work in his industry. Finally we visit a Polish school where the students are working hard to save power and encourage recycling.
