How classical singing techniques can develop different vocal styles
We meet aspiring singer Shevelle, who has never experienced any vocal training or tried learning classical repertoire. She has been selected to perform at the Royal Albert Hall as a member of Fazer鈥檚 Urban Symphony Proms performance. In order for her to gain confidence as a performer, Shevelle has a classical singing lesson with professional alto singer Rebecca Lodge. She is taught some vocal warm-ups and is able to expand her vocal range by demonstrating a series of traditional scale exercises. Shevelle then learns to sing the classical song 'Ave Maria' by Gounod.
