Blocked from seeing grandchildren: ‘It’s like a bereavement’
Three-quarters of the calls to a helpline for grandparents are from those worried about losing touch with their grandchildren after a family break-up, the organisation has claimed.
The Grandparents Association had over 8,000 calls last year, most of those from grandparents denied contact.
Ken Ebbens and Julie Perry have both been denied access to their grandchildren. They spoke to Victoria about their experiences.
