'Education secretary needs to be a champion for teachers'
Vic Goddard, the head teacher made famous by the TV show "Educating Essex" tells the Victoria Derbyshire programme about the pressure schools are under to raise standards.
He had written to the Education Secretary Nicky Morgan explaining the problems he faces on a daily basis and invited her to come to the school to see how challenging his job is. She took him up on the offer and visited.
Mr Goddard told Joanna Gosling about the encounter and how he hoped Ms Morgan would become a "champion for teachers."
