Teachers in some English schools are under pressure to 鈥渕assage鈥� negative figures, the new 鈥榮chool behaviour tsar鈥� has claimed.

Tom Bennett told the Victoria Derbyshire programme that the stakes for schools are so high and they are 鈥渙ften judged so punitively on their external data鈥�, such as exclusion rates, that there was pressure to reduce their impact.

Mr Bennett, who will lead a group developing better training for teachers to tackle low-level disruptive behaviour, also answered questions from teachers and students.
