Powell on child tax credits: There are 'complex cases'
Labour's shadow cabinet met this morning to discuss what direction to take over the government's proposed cap on child tax credit.
Shadow cabinet minister Lucy Powell told the Daily Politics that there are difficult issues: "You could have a principle in place here saying the state can have a view about how many children it is going to support... But there are some incredibly complex cases here."
She said there were some "tactical issues" that the party was dealing with.
