'It is worth the risk to get into the UK'
A migrant from Egypt trying reach the UK from Calais has told the 麻豆官网首页入口 his journey is worth the risk despite having to leave his wife and six children.
An engineer by trade, he paid thousands of pounds to get to France, via Tripoli in Libya and then by boat across the Mediterranean. He was eventually rescued and taken to Sicily.
He told Christian Fraser he left Egypt after being jailed for 18 months for being a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, an organisation now banned.
Meanwhile David Cameron has insisted that Britain will not become a "safe haven" for migrants in Calais.
The prime minister has warned illegal immigrants will be removed from the UK.
More than 3,500 people have tried to get into the Eurotunnel terminal this week.
