The maths of paying for 'free' childcare
One of the biggest organisations representing nurseries is urging the government not to rush into plans for upping free childcare provision in England and Wales.
Next year, working parents will get 30 hours of free childcare every week for their three and four-year-olds. Currently, all parents, whether they work or not, get 15 hours paid care.
Joanna Gosling got reaction from two parents about how it would affect their pockets, along with a nursery owner and the chief executive of the National Day Nurseries Association, about whether nurseries could offer this service for the money on offer.
