Dodds: McDonnell played 'no role whatsoever' in peace process

Nigel Dodds reacts to the apology from the shadow chancellor over past IRA comments.

The DUP deputy leader said John McDonnell鈥檚 apology was undermined by the "self-justification" of his remarks.

Mr Dodds said the support of the "hard left" for the republican movement was "totally unrepresentative of the wider Labour movement"

He was speaking to Andrew Neil, who asked Mr Dodds about his appearance at a 1986 wake for a member of a loyalist paramilitary movement.
