Tax credit changes: 'I will be an awful lot worse off'
Chancellor George Osborne has defended the government's changes to tax credits, after some senior Conservatives called for a rethink.
The chancellor said a typical family on the minimum wage would be better off, with the changes offset by the new National Living Wage.
Working tax credit claimant Amanda Harnetty told the programme that she would be worse off as she would pay more in rent and council tax - and her employer might struggle to pay more.
Conservative MP Mark Spencer said the government was trying to support businesses so they would be able to offer higher wages and longer hours.
