What is life like inside prison?
The prison system in England and Wales is in its worst state for ten years, with violence on the increase, according to the last report by the chief inspector of prisons.
The Victoria Derbyshire programme asked people involved in the prison system to write anonymous letters about their experiences.
The replies from a prisoner, prison officer and education worker have been voiced by actors.
The first letter was provided by Inside Time, the national newspaper for prisoners and detainees.
