'No doubt prisons have deteriorated'
The Chief Inspector of Prisons in England and Wales has told the Victoria Derbyshire programme his concerns over the 'deterioration' of jail conditions.
Nick Hardwick said that prisons were overcrowded, dangerous and rehabilitation programmes were failing.
He has called for reforms that he said would benefit inmates and guards and in turn the community.
