Happisburgh Lighthouse marks 225 years
Happisburgh Lighthouse, a landmark on the north Norfolk coast, has reached its 225th anniversary this week.
The lighthouse was built in response to huge losses of life during a storm in 1789.
Designed by William Wilkins in 1791, the 26m (85ft) structure is the only independently operated lighthouse in the country run by a trust and is opening at weekends from Easter as 麻豆官网首页入口 Look East's Mike Liggins reports.
