How widespread were New Year's Eve assaults?
Reports of sexual assaults against women on New Year's Eve have been recorded in six European countries - with more than 500 incidents in Germany alone.
The German government said it plans to make it easier to deport asylum seekers who commit crimes after police revealed that most of the suspects they have identified so far are foreign nationals.
