Boris Johnson: If we vote to leave EU 'all options are good'

Andrew Marr speaks to Mayor of London Boris Johnson.

Boris Johnson has said he doesn't believe that the Prime Minister or Number 10 bullied or manipulated the British Chamber of Commerce into suspending its leader, John Longworth after he said Britain could have a brighter future outside the EU.

Mr Johnson, who was being questioned by Andrew Marr, added that Mr Longworth had "paid a heavy price for sharing that optimistic view" about Britain's chances outside the European Union and he said "younger, fitter journalists than ourselves could discover what happened" regarding his suspension.

Mr Johnson, who's campaigning for Britain to leave the EU, said "If you vote to leave all your options are good, you could strike a great free trade deal with the EU. If you remain, you can't hope for any real reform.

He said Government policy had been that we should have "a fundamentally reformed EU, wholesale change was promised, that has obviously not been delivered".

He added that this was a "once in a lifetime opportunity which will not come again to strike new series of relationships" and that there was a glorious future for Britain outside the organisation.
