Buskers in Ross-on-Wye were invited, last weekend, to perform at a variety of locations across the town - to raise money to bring back the International Festival.

This was the first time anything on this scale had been organised, but the team behind it have been working on a number of events across the town "to test the waters".

Originally launched in 1996, the event had seen appearances from The Hollies, TheWaterboys, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Elkie Brooks, Van Morrison and Amy Winehouse - as well as dance, theatre and comedy.
听
Although a big hit with audiences, the festival was plagued with issues - from the main tent collapsing to flooding, eventually resulting in bankruptcy.
听
Several attempts to revive the festival have failed, with the Unintentional Festival and Jamstand also falling by the wayside.

As the name suggests, the Old Bush Blues Festival is all about the blues and is held over three days at The Old Bush in Callow End between Worcester and Malvern.

Whilst their regular jazz club tends to be more traditional, the festival provides scope for a much wider range of jazz appreciation and they feel that following only one particular style means missing a lot of 'good' music.

Pershore Jazz are a not-for-profit organisation run by an unpaid committee dedicated to the cause of quality jazz for all to enjoy.

Each year the festival raises money for a chosen local charity. This year the Worcestershire Association of Carers will receive all the money dropped into buckets at the festival's venues across the weekend.
