'Seven Winters in Tehran' : The Voice of an Iranian Teen sentenced to death
It's the story of a 19-year-old who spent seven years on death row in Iran.
'Seven Winters in Tehran' is an immersive documentary about Reyhaneh Jabarri, who was executed in 2014, for stabbing a man, she said at the time, had tried to rape her.
It features her letters, smuggled out of prison, and now voiced by Iranian actress Zar Amir Ebrahimi.
It opened New York's recent Human Rights Watch Film Festival, which also featured panels looking at the plight of Iran's women and girls.
