Ukraine Under Siege: The making of '20 Days in Mariupol' documentary
It won an Audience Award at Sundance as well as the Cinema for Peace prize - and now the hard-hitting Ukranian documentary '20 Days in Mariupol' has a release in US cinemas as the film industry gears up for award season.
Critics say the film brings an immersive and haunting portrayal of the toll of war, as it chronicles the Russian invasion of the Ukrainian port city of Mariupol in 2022.
Talking Movies’ Tom Brook caught up with Mstyslav Chernov, the German-based, Pulitzer-prize winning Ukrainian journalist, who made the film.
