An Essex angler has caught what might be the largest-ever recorded catfish in the UK.

Weighing an incredible 150lb (68kg) and more than eight feet long, Shaun Ing landed the catch at Chigborough Fisheries near Maldon.

The existing record was set at the same lake in May 2024.
