Essex magnet fisher catches 150th trolley
A magnet fisher said he felt "amazing" after pulling his 150th trolley from a Chelmsford river. Lewis Bright started the hobby in 2021 and in the four years since, he's found bicycles, historical artefacts and the occasional suspected explosive device.
Over the next 12 months, the 20-year-old plans to spend up to eight hours per day several times a week cleaning Essex rivers鈥�
Chelmsford City Council has urged people not to clean up rivers themselves for safety reasons, and instead has suggested they contact the local authority.
