Maya Cobbina

Passionate, forthright and fiercely intelligent, Maya Cobbina is a top-drawer barrister and a pro-bono representative for death row inmates in the US.

For twenty years she’s been trying to gain justice for Michael Antwi, a charismatic anti-racist campaigner who died in police custody.

Promoted to the position of Director of Public Prosecutions (the first black woman to take the role), Maya is finally in a position to uncover the truth of his death – when a secret at the heart of her family blows her world apart.

Sophie Okonedo

Sophie Okonedo has had a distinguished career on stage, screen and TV. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 2004 film Hotel Rwanda; a Golden Globe nomination for the miniseries Tsunami: The Aftermath (2006) and BAFTA TV Award nominations for the 麻豆官网首页入口 drama series (2009, written by Peter Moffat) and her portrayal of Winnie Mandela in Mrs. Mandela (2010).

Her television credits include: Clocking Off, , and Nancy in the 2007 麻豆官网首页入口 adaptation of to name a few.

On stage, Sophie won the Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her Broadway debut in the 2014 revival of A Raisin in the Sun.
