Daphne Todd

Daphne Todd is a multi-award-winning artist, and in 2010 was awarded first prize at the prestigious BP Portrait award. Daphne paints in various art forms, but is most recognised for her work in portraiture. Four of her portraits hang in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery (Sir Christopher Ondaatje, Spike Milligan, Lord Sainsbury and Dame Janet Baker) and she has a portrait drawing in the collection of Her Majesty The Queen. Although her paintings take her around the world, she works predominately from a converted barn on her East Sussex farm. Daphne is a graduate of The Slade School of Fine Art, ex-Director of Studies, Heatherleys School of Fine Art in Chelsea, first female president of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and a royal commissioned painter. Her achievements led to her OBE for services to the Arts, awarded in 2002.
