Daniel Cotton played by Philip Glenister
Daniel is managing director and co-owner with his father of the family sweet business, Cottons Confectionery. A happily married man with two grown-up children, he is, however, caught up in the rift between his father Samuel and brother Robbo, a rift he is trying to heal on the day of the England v Scotland match in Euro 1996. Adopted by Samuel at an early age, he finds himself going back to a place he recognises from long ago鈥� A man feeling trapped by pressure whose world is thrown into disarray鈥�
