Jim Ashley
Jim is Mei鈥檚 adoptive father.
Around ten years his wife’s senior, he’s a retired and rather scruffy English academic, currently engrossed in his latest book about the Peloponnesian War.
Mei is his only child and he adores her, but that adoration has always manifested itself in calm practical advice rather than emotional indulgence.
Donald Sumpter
Donald Sumpter has had a long and extensive career on both stage and screen.
Most recently Donald has appeared as the President of the Time Lords in for the 麻豆官网首页入口 and in Jekyll and Hyde for ITV. Other numerous television credits include - Maester Luwin in the first two series of Game of Thrones, , , Black Mirror, , , , Einstein and Eddington, Nicholas Nickleby, , Our Friends in the North, The Buddha of Suburbia and Poirot: The ABC Murders.
On film Donald has worked with a range of esteemed film directors, including Ron Howard, David Cronenberg, David Fincher and Kathryn Bigelow. His most memorable film credits include Eastern Promises, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Constant Gardener.
