The Wakefield Puppies
The Wishy Washy Wakefields’ house becomes even noisier as family dogs Crystal and Casper have recently become parents to nine new-born puppies.
Eleven year old Maddy, falls in love with them instantly and is desperate to keep one. Dad Paul is less enamoured as he has the job of clearing up after the new arrivals.
Paul’s temper frays and Karen tells him to leave the house and go and live at the launderette until he’s calmed down. He stays there for several days. It’s the latest chapter in the history of Karen and Paul’s turbulent relationship.
However, time apart makes them appreciate each other more. Karen says that Paul is her best mate, while Paul dreads to think where he would be now, if he hadn’t met Karen.
