Louis Smith
Strictly winner and British artistic gymnast Louis Smith specialises in the pommel horse.
When was seven, he was offered a choral scholarship but instead chose to focus on gymnastics. There, he discovered his favourite event was the pommel horse and first learnt how to train by putting his feet in a bucket that was tied to a rope and hung from a ceiling.

Between 2006 and 2008 he won a string of awards including gold at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, bronze at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart, silver at the World Cup in Ghent and silver at the World Cup in Moscow in 2008.
In Beijing in 2008 he qualified in fifth place for the Olympic final of the men's pommel horse, and won a bronze medal in the finals, becoming the first British man to win a medal in the individual gymnastics at the Olympic Games since 1908.
After winning silver in the pommel horse finals at the European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships he went on to be part of at London 2012.
The team consequently won bronze at the men's artistic team all-around event, marking the first team medal for a British Olympic gymnastics team in 100 years. Louis also won silver in the men's pommel horse final.
In 2012, Louis Smith competed in Strictly Come Dancing and with professional dancer Flavia Cacace.
The following year in 2013, Louis was appointed (MBE) for services to gymnastics.
Although he announced his retirement, Louis was picked for the England squad for the in Glasgow and was soon back in training.
