Mr Honeyfoot, of the , is a pleasant gentleman in middle-age, whose many interests include clouds, folktales, dogs, and magic. His dearest friend is , and after the York Society is disbanded, the two of them embark upon a new and ultimately very useful scheme. They purchase a property called Starecross Hall, formerly The Shadow House of Miss Absalom the Enchantress: a mysterious, magical place whose ancient walls will witness some very surprising and terrible things as the battle for English Magic is joined.

Mr Honeyfoot is an unlikely-looking hero, but when called upon, he is a hero indeed. And most enterprising when it comes to finding new uses for walnuts.

Brian is currently with the National Theatre of Scotland, appearing in Yer Granny. His other theatre work includes Scenes Unseen, The Drawer Boy, Great Expectations, The Fairy Queen, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Uncle Vanya. His performance in The King of Scotland – One Man Show, won him a Fringe First Award.

His television work includes , The Field of Blood, , Doc Martin, Rab C. Nesbitt, Garrow’s Law, Taggart, Bleak House, The Strange Case of Sherlock Holmes and Arthur Conan Doyle, Hustle, Still Game, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Dalziel and Pascoe, Monarch of the Glen, My Family, The History Tom Jones, a Foundling, The Baldy Man and Hamish Macbeth.

His film work includes The Legend of Barney Thomson, Donkeys, Lassie, The Shadow of the Sword, The Tale of Tarquin Slant, Shakespeare in Love, In the Bleak Midwinter, Loch Ness, Heavenly Pursuits, Amadeus and Britannia Hospital.
