Having come from a loving, supportive and caring home, he is most anxious about engaging with young people with such radically different experiences to his own.
As a dyslexic, he has not always found education easy but was set high standards by his school, something he is keen to instil in his classroom.
He loves young people and has always thrown himself into opportunities with kids; during holidays at university he was a part-time magician for children鈥檚 parties.
