A look at his听fashion 10 years after his murder.
It was Liz Hurley who put the name Versace on everybody's lips when she hit the headlines by turning out in a bit of cloth that fit where it hit and was held together with safety pins.
Anyone who likes to make that kind of splash has worn his clothes - Madonna, Elton John even Princess Diana, and the Versace brand continues to make a stir 10 years after his murder in Florida (he was shot 15th July 1997). Corinne Julius went to see some of his creations with Claire Wilcox, Senior Curator of fashion at the V&A and fashion historian Valerie Mendes and to find out more about the man and his enduring iconic clothes. |
