Why do we still get it wrong?
The stories are in the headlines again: Katie Price getting into trouble for going topless in the Maldives, and a group of British men dressed as nuns in Greece having to spend a night in the cells. As summer begins, we plan our holidays and pack our suitcases – but do we think enough about what is appropriate wear at our destination? Nobody wants to offend – so why do we do so, time after time? The travel magazine Wanderlust has launched a campaign this month to “put your Brits away” – to promote responsible and respectful dress among travellers. The editor-in-chief Lyn Hughes and the travel writer Sara Wheeler join Jenni to discuss. |
