I’ve been remiss

I didn’t take photos and post pics of the twiglets and snowdrops I also had from afar, the first batch were planted when we had the good weather a couple of weeks ago and I was very worried about them in the gales, hail and snow of the past few days but today I went to see it they had survived and they have, not only that but the ones I gently tugged were stuck fast so they have started to root….wweeeee… I’m so pleased, here is a photo of them in the grass free sheltered area at the side of the house, from left to right ~ bush honeysuckle ~ flowering current ~ honeysuckle (woodbine),

I was so excited about the twiglets that I forgot to take a photo of the snowdrops, they were doing well but the recent weather has made them droop,

And this is the second batch, these twiglets are more tricky, they are NZ daisybushes, the plant in the pot is already rooted and I am keeping it in the pot inside until it is much bigger, the little card was with the first batch it is a tasteful photo by Jane Glue, the other photo is a touch appropriate (thought I’d say it before someone else did), I think I will put some of these tricky ones in pots and some in the sheltered front garden, fingers crossed…..

Lovely to see the twiglets sprouting, IT, they must be tough! If they all survive you will have a veritable forest. Good luck.

Congrats.! A nursery in the offing.

IT, we at Rolling Acres just got a delightful pig-in-the-post and you mention keeping the rooted Olearia cutting indoors (do you mean in the house?) If so, I'm told by the Head Gardener to say better not as it has spent its Liff out of doors and it may take fright at too much warmth. Once its rooted its fine...usually (get-out clawst) it is the small-toothed grey-leaved ones we can't get going. I'm thinking of dipping my paws in green paint...

I thought it was forbidden to advertise for cigarettes or anything else for that matter on IB, IT!

Thanks, the twiglets were sprouting when they arrived! I thought the buds would die off but they have remained the same, FC tell head gardener the rooted Olearia is on the east facing window sill of the porch, single glazing and no heating, I was thinking of keeping it in the shed (there is a good window with shelf) and putting it outside during the day on good days but if it is alright to plant out I will but not today as the weather has turned nasty again, well it's almost the weekendÂ…..

No problem with where it is. I'm sure its a very grateful wee thing after the liff its had being regularly blown over beside Flying Shed, and the nice new Bigger Pot will suit its burgeoning root system down to the ground!

Thanks FC, I haven't put it in a bigger pot it is in the original the yellow pot just covers the black plastic and catches the drips after watering but I will put it outside soon, pleased you like the pig in the post,
