the lighthouse,

Portnaguran,

Great photos of your day out, IT. Did you see Fred when you were in Point? He would probably be just a blur on the horizon as he rushed about, though :-) I like the lighthouse - is it an automatic one? I would have fancied one of the little cottages for myself...

Jill from EK

Lovely atmospheric photos IT. Are the inimitable Guireans named after the area in pic 3?

Flying Cat from singin' along

Lovely pics IT, so many shades of green. I just loooove the sea green. Wish am on that light house :)

Dreamer from SL

No I didn't see Fred, we wizzed past his house but by the time it was pointed out I missed seeing it, I had not realized Fred was at point I thought his house was nearer Stornoway, I was on the bus, buses are not too frequent to Point and it takes as long as the Ness bus but is less than half the distance!! The weather made the atmosphere and what you can't see is that it was blowing a gale, FC you're too clever for me I don't know what the Guireans are…….

Wonderful pictures!

It's really truly not cleverness IT. If you look to the right of my blog at the links (which should be live after a masterclass from Ruthodanort), you will see one to The Guireans. But don't visit unless you're feeling really strong, positive and upbeat, otherwise their sheer artistry (not saying what kind) might drive you to the edge...

Flying Cat from yowling like a good un.

EfCee is too clever for most of us all of the time and all of us some of the time. Sorry to harp on it but photo #1 just sums up the sailing weather for "Beatrice" and her crew. Nice pix the remainder.

FC-i clicked onto the liknk=the guireans, but it said the page has been supprimed??

carol from over here and feeling cold

I must consult m'learned friend Jeelie Peice, for twas she who sent the original link, which did work. Maybe The Guireans are like the parrot and have ceased to be, fallen off their collective perch, are no more...I'd like to complain...

Flying Cat from distrait

Any way of suppressing the appetite of the voracious monster that inhabits IHHQ's cellar? Carols from both IBHQ and southern France: I fear i am being "supprimed".

mjc from IN, USA

mjc, I have been supprimed as well (didn't hurt, though) more than once. I usually put the non-appearance of my comments down to operator malfunction i.e. myself, but it's happened several times over the last couple of weeks.

Jill from EK

I am glad my few photos gave pleasure and hope that those who are far away can visit soon, I think I may need a shot of mjc’s bourbon before I try the Guireans link FC, (when it is working)
