sunsets, Stornoway and Harris tweed

I was in Stornoway Wednesday morning and thought I鈥檇 take some photos, the tide was in and I like the reflections of the fishing boats,

the sparkle of sunlight on water

and small boats dancing on the gentle waves,

Earlier this week when the sunset the sky over the moor at the back turned pink, what is interesting is it is south east and the sun was setting in the west so it is a reflection, I can only think there must have been a mist rising over the moor,

And this was the sunset from my home last night,

I did get a couple of textile pieces finished this week, two Harris tweed cushions, the design is loosely based on views over Harris,

have a nice weekend everyone, I am going to spend some of my time catching up with some of your blogs,

Love the photos with reflections, sometime you just take a shot and don't even notice the reflections until you upload. Lovely work too. Very talented, I must say. The sunsets?? they are so magical, words can hardly describe. Have a good weekend IT

Fantastic photos IT and I like the cushions. Are they of a particular place on Harris?

Thanks for all your lovely comments, Carol the inspiration for the cushion designs, the first is the bay by Horgabost, south Harris, the second is the view from where I lived on Scalpay looking towards Tarbert, Tarbert is behind the island between the 2 hills, there are quiet a lot of little islands between Scalpay and Tarbert, Squidgy are you sure you have left your comment on the right island blog as I脗鈥檓 IT脗鈥sland Threads, if your comment is for me thank you and I forgive a confused otter the slip on the keyboard which must be difficult to use when you have flippers instead of fingers,
