There are two different schemes running this summer for 18 - 22 year olds: One for the arts and one for sport. You don't need to be a budding journalist, you just need passion for the arts or sport and want to share it! Arts reporters You could find yourself covering anything from V Festival to the Viennese Opera, from Bhangra to ballet. You'll review gigs, interview musicians and artists, and then you'll have to get creative by writing reports, taking photos and making videos about what you've experienced. Sport reporters You'll have the opportunity to cover some of Shropshire's best sporting action: Shrewsbury Town Football Club, AFC Telford United, local cricket, hockey, ice hockey, and more. You could be writing and recording your own reports, chatting to players or managers, and helping to put together radio programmes and webpages. What's in it for you? - On the job training.
