Walsall have signed Belgium youth international Florent Cuvelier on a month-long loan from Stoke City.

The 19-year-old midfielder joined the Potters in 2010 from Portsmouth.

"He's a lad that we have been aware of for some time," Walsall boss Dean Smith said.

"He's played against us for Stoke's reserves and did well on each occasion. I would describe him as a creative midfielder who gets on the ball and is technically very good."

Cuvelier stands to make his Saddlers debut on Tuesday in the League One clash with Notts County.
