Guernsey FC go down to Harrow Borough loss

Guernsey FC continue their search for a first league point of the season after a 3-0 loss at home to Harrow Borough.
Sam Murray had an early chance ruled out for offside for the Green Lions, who brought on midfielder Ben Acey at half time after he returned to his home club after a spell at Bristol City.
But two minutes after Guernsey went behind Carl Stewart converted after a Harrow break.
Jordan Hamilton-Olise doubled the lead seven minutes later with an excellent volley from the edge of the box after some superb control.
Jethro Odumosu's 64th-minute penalty secured the result as the Green Lions, who lost 2-1 at Hartley Wintney in their opening game in Isthmian League South Central two weeks ago.
"We didn't really get going to be honest," Guernsey manager Tony Vance told 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Guernsey.
"We allowed them to control us and we didn't really grab the game by the scruff of the neck which is what we needed to do.
"Harrow Borough controlled us in and out of possession and made it difficult.
"I think it's a game that we could have won, but we needed to be braver and stronger to be honest."
Vance was left frustrated with the way his side went behind having given away the opener with sloppy play:
"The first goal was a gimme, we tried to play it out from the back and got caught just outside of our own box.
"Then you're against the tide and we gave away a penalty. I wouldn't say it was a penalty, but the guy made it a penalty and we shouldn't be giving the opportunity to their player to do that.
"We had chances but we were huffing and puffing really more than really blowing the door down.
"We've got some work to do, there's no doubt about it, and it's one of those games that we need to learn from, hopefully in a positive manner, and work our way back into it."
