Askey hails Truro City performance despite defeat

Truro City manager John Askey says his side played the best they have all season, despite losing 1-0 at home to Eastbourne Borough.
Dominic Johnson-Fisher had a 31st-minute goal disallowed for the Tinners, who missed numerous chances to score.
Alfie Pavey's 56th-minute goal proved decisive as Connor Riley-Lowe had an effort saved and Tom Harrison headed against the post.
The loss leaves Truro in eighth place in National League South.
"I thought it was the best we've played this season, as daft as it sounds," Askey told 麻豆官网首页入口 Radio Cornwall.
"I know we won 5-0 the other day, but I thought we played a lot better.
"On another day we would have won the game comfortably. They did only have one shot on target and we've had numerous chances - we've hit the post three times and it just wasn't our day.
"If you play like that then you would expect to win, but we all know football can be cruel at times.
"But we have to take heart from it and I think everybody who came could see that on the day we were the better team, although the result doesn't reflect that."
