  1. Eng 65-2published at 7.2 overs

Saiqa Ishaque is struggling on debut.

Danni Wyatt crashes through the covers for four, before an above waist no-ball is smacked to the square leg boundary.

Pressure is on the left-arm spinner.

  2. Eng 56-2published at 7 overs

I've missed watching Nat Sciver-Brunt. She is an absolute gun.

Pooja Vastrakar drops a tad short and Sciver-Brunt latches onto it so quickly and pulls away to the boundary.

The quick then over compensates and NSB drills it through mid-off for a glorious four.

    She's so good to watch.

I am part of 18 man England squad to play in Chennai at the 2024 Seniors (60s) World Cup in Feb. A dream destination to represent your country.

  5. Eng 44-2published at 6 overs

    Wyatt 16, Sciver-Brunt 23

Nat Sciver-Brunt is starting to tick.

She starts the over with a threaded four down to third, before a crunching sweep bookends the over.

"Played, Nat" shout the England dugout.

A decent comeback in the powerplay for the tourists.

I've probably already had my bucket list moment, watching my daughter play for Lincolnshire U17s at the Galle Fort cricket ground in Sri Lanka

    Another boundary for Nat Sciver-Brunt.

She's using her feet, to come down the track, and that changes the line and length from the bowler.

She ends up stretching for this one and it slices over backward point and away to the fence.

They are both very talented but Capsey (horrible form) and Dunkley (poor technique) have been really poor for a while now both for England and in the WBBL. Questions should start to be asked about whether they merit a place in the team.

These three T20Is have real significance for England. Not just because of the preparation for next year鈥檚 T20 World Cup in Bangladesh, but also because England need a reaction from the remarkable series defeat against Sri Lanka in September.

  11. Eng 28-2published at 4 overs

    Wyatt 15, Sciver-Brunt 8

A change of pace as left-arm spinner Saiqa Ishaque, who is making her debut, comes into the attack.

The nerves are evident as she drags one down and Danni Wyatt pierces the off-side for three.

Her line then strays too, allowing Nat Sciver-Brunt to sweep for four.

Callum @ 13:27. Excellent 鈥渃ome get me plea鈥 to your employers, there. I鈥檇 want the Caribbean drinks, with Indian food, Aussie weather, the NZ locals whilst watching cricket in Cape Town. Does that count?

  13. Eng 19-2published at 3 overs

    A better over for England.

Danni Wyatt climbs into some width from Renuka Singh Thakur and crashes away to the cover boundary.

There's then steady accumulation for the rest of the over.

Wyatt is playing her 150th T20 international today and Nat Sciver-Brunt is extremely experienced too so they'll be constantly talking about the sort of total England need to be competitive here.

  15. Eng 9-2published at 2 overs

There is a T20 World Cup in Bangladesh in September and October next year so England are currently building towards that.

They made progress and looked good in February's T20 World Cup in South Africa but have an off-day in the semi-final and were eliminated.

Danni Wyatt and Nat Sciver-Brunt are both extremely good runners between the wickets and we're seeing them put in the hard yards, turning ones into twos, already.

Horror start for England as Dunkley and Capsey both bowled in the first over.

After the series defeat against Sri Lanka in September, these three T20s feel quite big鈥

It will be the pace of Pooja Vastrakar at the other end.

England have struggled against spin in recent times so people thought that may dominate this series but pace is becoming more prominent in India.

  18. Eng 2-2published at 1 over

    Almost a run out now!

There's some yes, no, maybe, no between Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt before then eventually settle on a no.

Not the ideal start for England.

  19. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 0.5 overs

    Capsey b Thakur 0 (Eng 2-2)

Another one! Two in two balls.

Alice Capsey plays down the complete wrong line and Renuka Singh Thakur sends her off stump cartwheeling.

The India fans are loving this.

  20. wicket

    WICKETpublished at 0.4 overs

    Dunkley b Thakur 1 (Eng 2-1)

    Bowled her!

Renuka Singh Thakur cramps Sophia Dunkley for room and the England opener gets an under-edge into the ground.

The ball then bounces backwards, and almost in slow motion hits the stumps.

    India are ecstatic.
