Sweden slide first and lock in another high guard to try and shut down Eve Muirhead's angles.

But Muirhead beats the trap and shunts out the red Swedish stone in the house to move Great Britain up to two - zero as it lies on the ice in this end.

Still a stone each to come though.

The girls are playing very well today. And once you get those opportunities, it is about keeping your composure, and they should take a lot of positives from this.

Midway through this seventh end. Britain have one stone scoring at present. Jen Dodds manages to knock out the short Swedish stone, which was acting as a guard.

The key here for Britain is to limit Sweden's scoring opportunities. The Swedes do have one stone in the 12-foot circle - the blue one - but Britain have one in the eight-foot circle, and that's the one that counts for now.

Sofia Mabergs sends down the first stone of the seventh end for Sweden, setting it up as a guard stone. Hailey Duff tries to knock the guard off course, but ends up sending it into the eight-foot circle. Mabergs' second stone has too much curl on it, and finishes way short. Duff's second knocks the first Swedish stone out of the circle, and slides perhaps a little wider than she would have liked. All to play for.

The three other games in the women's curling are tied at the moment.

Great Britain v Sweden is the one you would pick to be the closest, but it's all going to plan so far for Eve Muirhead and co.

Swedish skip Anna Hasselborg goes in down the opposite side, trying to infiltrate the British like a Cold War double agent.

Muirhead can do little to bolster the house security with her final stone, Hasselborg routinely clawing a point back.

Four ends left, with each team having two hammers apiece. With the hammer and the lead, simplicity is going to be the key for the British team.

Eve Muirhead fires her first stone - the penultimate of the sixth end - down the right side to nudge out a Swedish marker. The four-foot is still wide open for the Swedes to narrow the deficit.

Heading into the second half of this round-robin match, Britain are aiming to consolidate their healthy position. Five yellow stones - all belonging to Britain - are making themselves comfortable in the house.

A short time ago Netherlands speed skater Irene Schouten won the 5,000m to bag her second gold of the Games.

That makes Schouten the fifth woman to complete the 3,000m/5,000m double at the Winter Olympics.

Schouten follows Yvonne van Gennip (Netherlands, 1988), Gunda Niemann-Stirnemann (Germany, 1992), Claudia Pechstein (Germany, 2002) and today's bronze-medal winner Martina Sablíkova (Czech Republic, 2010).

No! That's the answer to the previous question. Swedish skip Anna Hasselborg is unable to find a way through the British defence, her high-risk, aggressive cannon shot unable to take enough British stones out of the way.

Eve Muirhead decides to try and bolster the security around the house.

One guard is already patrolling, Muirhead sends another on the outside. It's the equivalent of adding a Rottweiler to the electric gates.

It doesn't even matter if it's a one. Eve Muirhead might just want to protect the situation and won't mind giving up a one.

Anna Hasselborg uproots the front one of those three British stones, leaving two in the red ring and flanked by two Swedish stones.

All four members of the Swedish are down at that end of the sheet, doing the mental measurements and discussing them out loud.

Delicately poised is this fifth end. Vicki Wright drops down a stone intended to tap the lone Swedish stone in the house.

Not quite enough pace to dislodge it as much as she would like and there is now a group of three British stones which is perhaps ripe for picking off.
