To celebrate 100 years of 鶹ҳ Education, we invite primary schools ‘behind the scenes’ at MediaCityUK Salford (the home of 鶹ҳ Children’s & Education), for a special Live Lesson featuring a host of familiar faces and voices.
In April 1924, a radio programme called “Music and School Life” was transmitted to schools, paving the way for a century of 鶹ҳ Education broadcasts.
Take a look back at with some of the stars who helped to inform, educate and entertain school children for the past 100 years.

To mark this milestone, we’re challenging children to write and produce their own radio report capturing people's memories of school days throughout the years.

What happens in the Live Lesson?
With the help of Newsround’s De-Graft Mensah, Saturday Mash-Up's Shereen Cutkelvin and C鶹ҳ superstar Hacker T Dog, we go behind the scenes at MediaCityUK, home to famous 鶹ҳ TV, radio and digital platforms including Blue Peter, Newsround, 鶹ҳ Radio 5 Live, 鶹ҳ Sport and 鶹ҳ Breakfast.
Pupils will learn curriculum-linked tips on interviewing, scripting and presenting as they compile their report. We hope to inspire schoolchildren to create their own audio projects after the lesson, by interviewing trusted adults.
