How to give extra permissions for child profiles on iPlayer
You might have set your child up with a profile so they can use iPlayer. This is different to a 麻豆官网首页入口 child account. As it only works with iPlayer, they won鈥檛 be able to use features on other parts of the 麻豆官网首页入口, like entering competitions or commenting.
To allow that, you can create a 麻豆官网首页入口 child account to set up permissions.
Here鈥檚 how you create a child account on a 麻豆官网首页入口 website when your child is already signed in to their profile:
- Switch from your child鈥檚 profile to your account
- Sign out of your account
- Go to sign in again
- a new under 13 account. You鈥檒l be asked to set their permissions during this process.
How to unlink accounts
The child has to instigate this (you can't). If they do, their parent or guardian receives an email explaining what鈥檚 happened.
To unlink as a child:
- Go to your 麻豆官网首页入口 account 鈥淪ettings鈥
- Hit "Child permissions"
- Hit "Unlink".
The accounts will then be unlinked.
Bear in mind
If the child unlinks accounts, they鈥檒l lose any permissions that have already been set. Like, if a parent or guardian has given permission for their child to comment on children鈥檚 websites, unlinking would mean that they won't be able to comment any more.
