1990: Checkpoint Charlie dismantled
The Berlin Wall crossing point known is Checkpoint Charlie was dismantled on 22 June 1990.
It had been used as a crossing point between East and West Berlin since the construction of the Wall in 1961.
The ceremony is attended by representatives of the UK, the US, France, East Germany, West Germany and the Soviet Union.
