The Blackout are one of the UK's foremost underground rock bands, and have announced the release of their third album, Hope.

A swift rise for this band has seen them play shows with the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Avenged Sevenfold, Dredg, Thrice and Hidden In Plain View, not to mention a place on the UK's biggest indoor rock festival - Give It A Name, joining Lostprophets, Angels And Airwaves, Taking Back Sunday, Goldfinger and Hundred Reasons.

Signed in summer 2006 to Fierce Panda, and nominated for Best British Newcomers at the Kerrang! Awards, the band have had a great reaction to their first Fierce Panda single Hard Slammin', which preceded the mini-album The Blackout! The Blackout! The Blackout!

2007 saw the release of their debut album proper, We Are The Dynamite, then in 2009 it was announced that the band had signed a worldwide deal with the large and influential Epitaph label, run by Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion.

The first fruits of that deal come in May 2009 with the release of The Best In Town album.

In April 2011, their third album, Hope, will be released. It was part-funded through the PledgeMusic fan scheme.
