Michael Foyle

A student at Wellington School in Ayr, 16 year old Michael, from Troon in Ayrshire, started piano lessons at the age of six. He has won the piano premiere prizes at the Ayrshire and Glasgow Music Festivals, and won the award for the most outstanding performer under 14 in the Glasgow festival in 2005.

He is also an accomplished violinist, gaining an ABRSM Performance Diploma aged 14, and is now a member of the first violins of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. He attends the Junior Department of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, where, as well as his instrumental lessons, he recieves tuition in composition and leads the 1st Orchestra.

He is a frequent performer at music club and charity concerts throughout Scotland on both violin and piano
