RachelHoooorayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! I'm in the car on the way back from the England v Trindad & Tobago match. Firstly, hoorrrrayyyy I actually managed to go and hoooorayyyy we won.

I admit I am a girl (and a Kidderminster Harriers fan) so probably don't know as much about football as I'd like to, but I think Sven really does need to sit down with those boys and tell them to pull up their socks. (if Beckham can get them any higher that is). I was slightly worried that there weren't going to be any goals at one point. I'm sure most of England thought that too though.

I sat next to Carrie at the match. I'm concerned we may be a sports reader down in the morning. So much for being ladylike....it was like standing next to a fishwife! Not sure if she'll be able to speak! I might need to go for a hearing test too.

Anyway, I have a few other issues to bring up, but those can keep until tomorrow. Over and out.
Rachel xx

Girls at the game, well I never!!!

No seriously, it's good to hear a female perspective that's a little more than 'Ooh, Becks is still fit ain't he'

Agree wholehartedly with your point about sitting the boys down. We know they have the talent, but it just doesn't seem to be clicking yet. Massive boost to see Roo on the pitch last night though - it sounded great on the box, can only imagine the roar inside the ground.

BTW - Any chance you can my Blog to the Blogroll? It's www.thecrouchdance.co.uk

Cheers!

Hi Rach,
listened to the show for ages, and had to see what you and Carrie looked like. Fit minxes, even if you class yourselves as Fishwives!
Enjoy the rest of yr time in the Fatherland.
From now on, my time listening to the show will be truly enhanced!
PS. Who cares about the odd swear word dropped into the show, if people dont want to hear it, tune into Classic FM!

Hi Rachel, Nice blogwork, I think Kidderminster Harriers would have played better than England during the first 80 minutes of the match, we were appauling, didn't really deserve to win I reckon.

It was tense for a while, but finally England got it together to get a good result. Now for Sweden...

Oh, can you support USA this Saturday (err, tomorrow) against Italy? We need a win to keep our slim chance of advancing from the group stages alive.
